There is also no way to romance each other's original characters, only the companions - AND in multiplayer, the second player doesn't get reputation updates with the companions, either. Updated Divinity: Original Sin 2 is a fantastic game with diverse romance options, so be sure you know which choices are the best and how to make them happen. That said I never flirted with Red Prince my first game and I still was able to sleep with him before act 4 so I'm pretty sure as long as their approval of your PC is at a certain level you can start it at that point.
